Retailers have become a top hunting ground for cyber criminals, with more than a quarter succumbing to an attack over the course of a year, according to Nominet research. Of these, over 90% have been hit multiple times, with ransomware the most common type of attack.
It’s no wonder that so few have confidence in their ability to fend off a repeat attack, while only 28% of CISOs within Retail are very confident that they have chosen the best security options to protect customers online. With busy shopping periods such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday bringing an influx of traffic to online stores, are retailers ready for the busiest of trading periods?
